These terms describe the optional text message service of Lantore ("Lantore alerts"). Lantore is run by LANTORE TECHNOLOGIES INC. These terms are part of the terms of use and the privacy notice. This is a beta draft pending legal review.
What the program is
Lantore alerts sends text messages to the mobile number that a parent, guardian or adult user adds to their own Lantore account, and verifies, to tell them about something Lantore has noticed. It is a service message program: we do not send marketing or promotional texts.
What messages you get
- A verification code when you add or change your number.
- Alert texts when Lantore raises an alert at or above the severity you chose. An alert text contains the severity, your child's first name (or your own, if you protect yourself), the name of the app, a short headline and a link to open Lantore. It never contains chat text.
- A reply to HELP, and the confirmation of STOP or START.
How often
Message frequency varies with alerts. A verification code is sent only when you ask for one. We limit the number of alert texts per account per day.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, as set by your mobile carrier. Lantore does not charge for the texts during the beta.
Opt-in is optional
Adding your number is your choice. It is not a condition of using Lantore: email alerts, push alerts and the portal work without it. By adding and verifying your number you agree to receive these texts. We keep a record of your consent (the number, the time, where you gave it and the version of the disclosure shown) for as long as the number stays on your account.
Opt out and help
- Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT) to any text to stop all texts. You will get one confirmation and no more texts to that number. Reply START to turn them back on. You can also remove your number in your account settings.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact support@lantore.com.
Your mobile information
No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Our messaging provider (Twilio) handles the number and message text only to deliver the message, as described in the privacy notice.
Carriers and delivery
Texts are sent through carriers that we do not control. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages, and we do not promise that a text will arrive or arrive in time. Do not rely on text messages in an emergency: call your local emergency number.
Where it is available
Text alerts are available for mobile numbers in the United States and Canada for now. We may change this, and we may suspend or end the text service at any time.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will tell account holders about material changes where practical. Questions: support@lantore.com.
